Eventually we came back to where we started - thus
concluding some of the fastest two hours of my life. It really was a lesson in what is possible
with persistence, determination, skill and decent management. Anyone vaguely interested in guitars,
manufacturing and enterprise should go along and you won't be disappointed.
For the record, I still have a 50 year old Maton FG150 -
identical to the one second from the right in the middle row of the photo
below. I bought mine from a fellow band
member in 1971. He has tried to buy it
back from me a number of times over the years but it will remain firmly in my
purview no matter the price - such is the attachment to these instruments.
